Anyone in AZ use Qwest for their internet?

I currently use Cox but the last few days with them has been hell. They keep having DNS errors and a really slow connection. I am thinking about switching over to Qwest. Is it any better than Cox?

Thanks for the messages. I guess I will stay with Cox and hope they fix their glitches.

                  They all suck.

I ended up with just going with both. Comcast and Qwest here, and flipping between them when/if one goes down.

The 12Mbit DSL I have honestly isn't that bad, fairly reliable and almost the same speed as my cable. I don't notice that I'm on it unless I'm downloading something huge, which is rather rare.

I've been with Qwest for 4 years and they've been pretty good. They upgraded my neighborhood to fiber in Jan and am on their 20mbps plan and its been great. Within 6 months they are going to be coming out with some really fast plans, dramatically improving upload speeds also. I also have a Cox line coming in and can't say anything bad about them.

It's heat. When it gets hot out, their stuff fails. Not gonna matter which service you use because at the end of the day it's all going through the same pipe.

                              Hi Jane,

If your having DNS issues now or in the future - I would recommend trying out:

                              http://www.opendns.com

It's totally free, 1 minute or less to setup and to be ohnest I have never seen a dns outage with them... You don't even need to make an account.

                              Good Luck

This doesn't seem to be a DNS issue that's going on right now, but Todd's right, that's a good trick to have in your back pocket.
