Am I the last person on earth that just figured out ICQ can't send links?

I sent our designer zip files earlier, went in his office and asked him if he had something to show.

He said I never sent him anything.

Then, when he did, I sent a link of what he made to someone else. They never answered. Finally they said, "So, are you going to let me see it?"

Granted some of the links I send out are nudes of me, but that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I was wondering if it had something to do with Trillian to Trillian being ok but Trillian to ICQ messing up.... Any truth to this?

I use old ICQ and people receive mine. I think the issue is with the recipient though.

I notice this on Tuesday morning. It sucks.

We've been getting around it by leaving off the "http://www" part of the link. That still works.

sending a link is no prob at all.
mass mailing can be though cuz loads of people deactivate this feature in their own preferences

I can send links to others, but some people are having trouble sending links to me the last couple of days. As Rochard mentioned, if you remove the http://www part from the link it works for everyone.

I have been very frustrated sending links to icq users. I use trillian and everything is fine. I am getting tired of sending an email for a simple link. I wish there was a fix for this.

Problem has been around for years... its a conflict between different ICQ versions, at least it was. Maybe this is a new problem popping up now.
