iPhone for sure... it's like asking if you should buy a word processor or a computer :P

Especially when you factor in the amount of apps for the iPhone both business and entertainment

i love my palm treo, and after seeing the features on the Palm Pre I am getting one. They do more then iPhones, and sprints network is so much better then AT&T, i have a few friends with an iPhone and they constantly complain about no service, i have to be in BFE or beyond to lose service with sprint and the download speeds are nuts for a phone.

The G1 pounds the shit out of any of the competitors, imho. I also got the 2400mAh (stock one is 1100 I believe) battery for it, which is awesome. With my phone, I:

              1. Use the SSH client to connect to servers, networking equipment, etc. I could add a firewall rule while sitting in a coffee shop, login to my IRC screen session to talk to my techs, etc.etc.

              2. Use the ServerUp app to receive alerts if any server ever had an issue.

              3. REMOTE DESKTOP (you heard me) to my home workstation and check on something there, or access a file I needed.

              4. Drive down the road scanning wifi networks and recording their location and GPS coordinates into Google Maps.

The list goes on and on, and includes everything most of the other phones do as well. In fact, I even bought myself a pair of Moto ROKR S9 HD bluetooth stereo headphones, loaded a bunch of music to my microSD card, and made it into a defacto iPod.

              This phone ROCKS!

Ive been debating the same thing. I am still on a palm treo 700p. I have sprint so naturally the pre would be easiest to switch to but I really like the Iphone.

WHY do you people not just buy unlocked iPhones?

As much as I hate Apple, the iPhone is the best handheld device I have ever, err.. held.

And it's funny how even Google can't match up to them with their Android OS.

Everyone who says they didn't like the iPhone are fuckin liars. Once you use it for like 5 minutes, there's no going back.
