    What if there is no afterlife?

    What if there is no afterlife and you simply cease to exist? What if once you die you will never ever think or feel anything for the rest of eternity and won't even remember that you even existed? That would fucking suck...it makes me sad just thinking about it...

    I really do hope we have some kind of soul or something that lives on in one way or another...

                                          What do you mean 'what if' lol it's a fact son.. you die. period. no heaven, no hell, no pearly gates, no ring of fire.. your body gets flushed out and after about 10 years your casket will start to fall apart and your body skin will fade. The worms will start. We came from it, we go into it.

                                                      I have been trying to answer that question myself many times. And the truth is we will never know until we die. So... we should spend our life best we can in order to not regret when the moment will come and best for me is with my girlfriend who is the sense of my life and I'm absolutely sure this one

                                                                          i'm not sure how you would calculate the odds since you do not have the number of years (infinity can't be reached....yes i know you know but someone will be like what??) so i think that it makes it 100% guarnteed since time never stops and it will always keep recycling the material....but again i'm not sure how the math works on infinity divided into the total number of particles in the universe

                                                                                              i agree, quite possibly true......but i still want more evidence on that.......human's don't fully understand gravity so you can't run numbers on it(yet)....the day i see antigravity propulsion units moving through the air piloted by humans, is the day i can completly agree with that theory but logically, it is looking very true....when you blow up a firecracker it's gravity doesn't pull itself back together

I know people say you shouldn't spend time worrying about it, but it is completely normal for humans to be scared of death and to think about it.                                                                                                                                                                   because my mom went to one of those "im cool because i speak to dead people" persons... i always thought they were full of shit, till she went and some of the stuff they said... its not just some random bullshit they pull out of their asses either...

                                                                                                                                                                  what made me change is this... they started talking to my mom, and the first thing he asked was "Kevin wants to know who farted at the funeral or burial..." first off, thats not something that someone would just say and hope it actually happened, and second, my dad had a sense of humor like that... and to be honest, i did fart, at the burial... i was standing next to my uncle while he was putting my dads ern into the ground and said "i just let a huge one rip"...

                                                                                                                                                                  second, the guy said "nipper is with him" yeah, another one you just dont pull out of your ass, my dads favorite dog, nipper was shot and killed just after i was born, and the guy said my dad was greeted by nipper, our german shepard...

                                                                                                                                                                  third, he said "kevin says hes happy you are wearing the rings on your necklace" sure it COULD of been pulled out of his ass, but my mom was wearing both her wedding and his wedding ring on a necklace INSIDE of a turtle neck shirt... he couldn't have possibly knew she was wearing it...


                                                                                                                                                                  more so, my dad was the only one who ate vanilla ice cream at weird hours of the night, and after my dad died, we would come down stairs in the morning and the ice cream would be sitting out, and the feezer would be open...

                                                                                                                                                                  and we've been hearing knockings on the walls all over, and the guy said it was just my dad letting us know he was there...


                                                                                                                                                                  long story short, my dads death changed alot of how i feel about death and the afterlife...

I look at it this way. If there is some sort of afterlife its just icing on the cake. If not who cares as we won't know after we die anyway.

I am so happy this point was already made. Anyhow: So, we ask ourselves "Why are we here?" that question can be easily answered if "Is there an afterlife?" are both posed at the same time. One can answer simply: Yes there is an afterlife and you are living it right now, there was never one second when you were "dead".

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Even a more abstract argument: Say time and soul(spirit or whatever) do not correlate, one can say: Every time we die we live as someone/something else at a earlier or later time (parrallel universes?). So when you are born you just fall into the system and live your life then die and live like something else.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      I really don't believe in parrallel universes (time machines (except time machines that make an object go in the future)), time/aging is caused by vibration of atoms which when sped up make an object age faster (thereby slowing down time to the being) or slowed down (thereby making the being "travel" through time faster).
