That sucks, I use namecheap as my main registrar and Moniker and Godaddy as backups.

that sucks i have like 75% of my domains at enom and the rest at go daddy

enom helped me get 95% of my domains off registerfly a few years ago when they went under

yeah, ended up doing that, but the fact remains that namecheap is holding domains hostage.

Pretty sure they're not doing it on purpose and I'm sure it'll be fixed in a day or two. Namecheap has always done right by me.

Been in touch with Namecheap, they acknowledge that there's a problem and that they've known about it for "several days" (quote) but not that they need to fix it.

Result: It's now impossible to transfer domains away from Enom/Namecheap to other registrars.

Namecheap knows about this but they are still not convinced that this is something they need to solve.

1 day of technical problem: ok, shit happens.
2 days of technical problems: ok, shit happens, but damn that's a lot of shit.
3 days of technical problems: ok, shit happens, but might wanna hire someone who knows what he's doing.
4 days of technical problems: WTF guys!
5 days of technical problems: I now seriously doubt this is a 'technical' problem.
