FF 2.0 tells g00gle what sites you visit etc.

Just saw it on the news. It checks blacklisted phishingsites for security reasons and while its doing it, it tells g00gle which sites you have visited.

So be smart and use opera

Wow. Sometimes you wonder why devlopers do things knowing what will happen.

I don't know why, but right now I am in love with Netscape. A handy feature for web devs is the ability to render pages as firefox or as ie. Worth a look, maybe.

and if you notice, you can choose if you want it to check with Google, or a local database...

all features like that can be turned off .. but like all things google, its all anon stats that contribute to a whole. seems like good safety measures for most ppl.

I hate spyware. The funny thing is; if other companies do that, it's a big drama. But if Google / FF does this, it's a great feature and everybody is happy with it.

google firefox isn't spyware... if you read ANY real information on it, all statistics they gather are ANONYMOUS, they get the urls, and some other info, but nothing that they can identify you with...

I would trust google with my information more then i would some random program like Zango

...until those microsoft bastards do something like it.

I agree with you on this, but Google is slowly losing their grace; their latest products are just purchased and rebranded, their support is worse, and even the most evangelical bloggers are starting to see cracks in Google's might dam.
