That's why I asked for domains with asking prices and haven't contacted anyone who didn't. Nor do I plan to.

I'd prefer aged blogs domains, but, if you just reg'd them, then double what you reg'd them for seems fair to me. I mean, if they were available 2 days ago, what makes you think they are worth $75, $100 or $125? They're not.

hm, let me guess...

(1) that you want it and just did not have the idea to check it?

(2) did I forget that you want it? ;)

just kidding, but in reality, if you just were too lazy to check them and somebody regs them, they are just gone and you would never get a hand on it anymore, if you don't buy it, so it makes no real difference if somebody snapped it in front of you or 2 years ago, the name is the same, the keyword is the same and just your ego tells you, that it is not worth more, because it "was free", it's like you see a car and it has a sold sign printed over a really cheap price you think was a bargain - it doesn't matter if it was sold yesterday or 1 year ago, you thought the price is a bargain & you are angry that you haven't got it - time doesn't matter in this case - the only thing is, a new domain has no history, but you never said, you want to have a history domain.

Just trying to explain my thoughts on this, you may be mad at me, but it's a ego thing to say "double reg fee" and not more, just because it was registered yesterday - somebody was faster than you, 2 days or 4 years, he was faster and you want to pay only less on "2 days faster", because you think "damn, I could have regged it"...

So far, written enough, talk to you later, think about it :D

PS: I prefer aged domains too, BUT not because somebody snapped them in front of me, I prefer them for SEO & credibility reasons only (like, "xxxxwhatever.com is proudly serving customers online since 1999" - that's a good sales argument ;) )

this is how I look at it with no ego at all..

you reg'd domains yesterday and flip them the next day for double what you paid.. that's doubling your money..

or

you reg the domain that no one will buy for anywhere near your asking price.. thus, waste of money.

so double your money or waste your money.

however, if the blogs domains are aged, then they are worth more.. to me.

I bought camsblogs.com for $100 and it's only 2 months old. It is a much better blogs domain that what the guys are trying to sell 1 day old domains for..in my opinion.
