OMG! Look at what i started!! Steve Vai says it best, There are a lot of kids today who can play lightning fast, but they lack what is most important, PHRASING , if your notes garble as most fast players do, its not going to be remembered.

Eruption by Eddie will always be remembered, because it has so much flavor based on the Pentatonic mode Blues.

I love well written slow riffs and bands that can write a great song but these guys are simply impressive. Most people that don't play don't get it when the music is too technical nowadays so there is no need to dazzle people anymore. You have to be impressed with the time that is spent practicing to play this fast though most guys could never come close to the guys posted here.

I will record and play a fast lick, when i get back from running errands. My PC right now is encoding a porn video for the pervs.. Hee hee

I can play lightning fast, I just kind of grew out of it. Michael Angelo and Malmsteen were two of my heroes, til i found Satch and the GOD of guitar VAI !! Vai Plays as fast as anyone you have evr seen in this world, that is a fact, he just doesnt use speed to express a solo in a song if its not needed.

Chris Immpeliteri should be probably mentioned here. Yngwie Malmsteen also. Bouth play songs, not just random speeding. I like speed on guitar but not if it isjust shreding through scales. if you practice 10h a day practice your imagination as well not just your fingers.
