Watched the Pride FC last night! A couple of good fights! Here is my question why Fedor & Coleman! Coleman is not even in the same league as Fedor! A better match up (If they wanted it to be against an American) would have been Josh Barnett?

Coleman is a long time Pride fighter and a huge built american guy. I can only imagine that Pride figured it would draw the american crowd, which I think it did. But yes I agree, Coleman is past his prime.
You should try and watch the dvd called "The Smashing Machine", It has some good clips about Coleman but mostly Mark Kerr who is a great fighter!

There aren't many fighters who want a piece of Fedor.
I imagine Fedor will fight Fujita next Pride FC USA. Fujita is the only one who has ever come close to knocking out Fedor, but lost.

They wanted to have American fans relate to it... that's why they kept running all that crap abotu his family life. Barnett would have been a good choice too and has earned it, but he needed to recover from those wars just a couple months back.
I think the next match is Cro Cop because he won absolute and that was supposed to be part of the payoff for doing so.
