Oh, and since you guys are so convinced that an airplane flew into the pentagon, why don't you take a look at this?

I love how you assume I'm 15. Keep on coming with the childish remarks, because you are the one that seems like a kid. BTW, look at the link above.Comment

I believe the true conspiracy is to cover up our previous lack of security. A missile is what hit the pentagon, not an airplane, thus ruling out some of your "possible" Saudi's.Comment
-
Oh ya, and I wonder how terrorists would get a hold of a missile? Maybe Saddam Hussein supplied it. To me it is a likely possibility.Comment

If you use the same nick elsewhere, then that would make you 18.
I remember when I was 18 - I was already serving in the military (I did 6 years). I thought I knew more then, than I know now.
Military service can certainly change your perspective, as can trying to understand why people from different countries and cultures act as they do.
When you have exhausted your military options, and done your best to prop up an unpopular government, at some point you have to concede that all you may be doing is prolonging the inevitable.
The sad harsh reality is that the Bush Adminstration fumbled much of the goodwill and support that this country had following 9/11, and failed to understand and develop an effective strategy for post-Saddam Iraq.
A likely outcome is a pro-Iranian Shiite government in Baghdad. Had Bush and his handlers/sponsors focused on stopping Al Qaeda, instead of toppling Saddam, that probably would not be the case.
If instead of trying to impose our military will on Iraq, we let the Iraqi people settle their own political destiny, then we will be able to meet with them at the diplomatic table in the years ahead, with some likelihood of appealing to their self-interest to co-exist with us.
Not all Islamic people are miltant fundamentalists. However we play into the hands of the fanatical fundamentalists when we treat all Islamic people the same.
Our continued military occupation in Iraq is the greatest recruitment tool that Al Qaeda could have, and it provides targets for them to practice training their new terrorist recruits.
For a very long time, the US government view in Vietnam was that if Vietnam turned communist, it would destabilize the region leading to a domino effect. Thirty years later, that is not the case. Sadly, tens of thousands of young Americans died bearing witness to lies from Washigton, as did hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of South East Asians.
We are undermining our volunteer military by repeatedly deploying reserve troops, and forcing the extension of tours of duty in combat zones.
Unfortunately the Bush Adminstration appears intransigent, and thus until they see the light or Americans vote in more reasonable leadership, the stalemate in the Middle East will surely lead to more unnecessary loss of American lives, and the continued erosion of support for this country internationally.

OK, I understand your opinion. I appologize if I came across harshly, I just enjoy debating. I'm wierd like that. To be honest, I'm not pro Bush or pro War In Iraq. In reality, I am at a middle ground with these. I see some good things in both and bad things in both. I just thought it necessary to argue the side that nobody seemed to agree with or take a second look at. Both sides are necessary to an educated debate.Comment
