I love to cook and good thing too because I live in a town with 2 restaurants and they both have shitty food that is way overpriced.
I actually learned to cook watching cooking shows on TV. I spent a lot of time since childhood sick in and out of hospital with a chronic condition that prevented me from eating for weeks at a time. As you could imagine I would get pretty hungry after not eating for 3 weeks. So I would take what I had learned during that time and make a huge feast when I was able to eat again. It was kinda funny actually thinking back being an 8 year old kid making a 6 course Chinese food meal. My parents would invite friends for dinner and there would be this huge spread and they would usually be in awe when they found out that I cooked the entire meal with little to no help from my folks LOL.
I never usually use a recipe and if I do I don't follow it completely I throw my own twist into it. I did a killer sirloin steak stir fry, hot and sour mushroom and crap soup, and spicy grilled shrimp the other night, it was delicious. The prep for something like that I find takes quite a bit of time but the finished product makes it well worth the effort.
Well speaking of food it's getting close to dinner time and I have to go and get started on my evening meal

bon appetite
