Interesting story, he does promotions and had a job in showlo, which is up north?he was driving back home and right outside Payson around 10pm, hit a large elk. He is fine, but his car is totaled.
Whats interesting is that I guess you get to keep the Elk if you kill it, but he did not have a way to get it home so he had to release it. I guess that some people up there (Payson) listen to the police radio and when they hear about that sort of thing, they scramble to go to the scene to try to get the deer/elk. There was some guy that arrived while the cops were still there and was arguing with them to take the elk then.
Then I guess there are services who will pick it up for you, then return it with the head and packages of the meat, although the locals say that elk/deer that have been hit are not good with the bruised flesh and the only thing you can get out of it is hamburger meat.
I asked him how many points the elk had on each antler and he said 7 or 8. he does not have a camera in his cell so no pics
Fascinating stuff
