Well, Israel has been "egging" them on yesterday and today. Whether or not those nudges are justifiable or not is another story, in my opinion they are. Israel looks like they're ready to go it alone, if need be.

Its going to take another attack somewhere before more powers start to unite. Pretty sad if you ask me... as if New York, Spain, and London aren't already enough.

The next terrorist strike against the US will be a biggie. This is according to Osama Bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahiri.

I swear I read something the other day about Canada not reaching Kyota levels to 2025. I should see if I can find what exactly it was, maybe somebody can refresh us here. after reading this thread, it's easy to see the problem... most people simply dont spend enough time educating themselves on international affairs..

not ragging on anyone who posted, but there are simple answers and complex ones...

the simple answer is war..

the complex answer is long enough to fill pages and pages, yet still be unable to give a concrete answer..

in the end, the world is not large enough for everyone and definately not large enough for differences in religious beliefs, greed, ideologies, etc... we are headed into dark times, filled with war and despair. it's only a question of how quickly the world can rid itself of opposition to the dominating forces. almost since the beginning of civalized man, the world has seen empires rise and fall.. today is no different from the past. the only difference is the ability to communicate rapidly.. we as human beings are no wiser than the romans and the greeks that fought long before us and many others before and after them..

at some point in the future, we as humans will be the ruin of ourselves...

Isreal has been dealing with this crap since what - the 1950's? They are done being nice and done playing games.

Remember the seven day war? Isreal didn't take on a country, the pretty much took on the entire middle east. Isreal ran circles around them, owned them; Everyone was begging them to stop and they kept taking more and more land.

This is why they went into Lebanon. You have terroritsts - that's right, terrorists - who are launching MISSILES into another country while hiding behind someone else's borders. Isreal doesn't care where this is coming from, they care about who it's coming from - and in case no one noticed international borders have less and less value every day.

This needs to stop and the only way it's going to stop is if someone sends a very strong message saying "ENOUGH ALREADY". The US has taken down two Middle Eastern countries and it still hasn't changed. What needs to be done is someone needs to say "you cross this line and we are taking your country and enslaving your entire population" - None of this "new government crap".
