2x Geforce 7800's.
You can get triple heads, or get 2 dual heads.. I suppose in theory you could get 2 triple heads if you wanted to go down that avenue as well.Comment

You'd think that, but I somehow manage to get from 1 side of the 3 monitors to the other without using the entire thing 0.o
I was aiming for something closer to quantum-x's setup... but thanks to this summer all 3 of my monitors have dead bugs in them. Which reminds me I need to call up hyundai and shout at them tomorrow.

I've been wanting to upgrade to another monitor.. I currently use two...
For those that use three... Is your center monitor the main (primary) monitor and the other two on each side secondary monitors?
Just trying to figure out what the best set up would be.... I know only by testing will I figure this out but thought I would ask too

I use two, never thought I would need it but then in the end yes... and three isn't that far off.
Basically, the center (for me left) monitor is the main window for stuff... the right hand side one has mail, icq, and other tools in it. When making sites and stuff, I often put FTP up in the second window and do the design stuff in the main window.
Sometimes I will put a browser up in the right window to look at stuff as I build it, basically just preview without having to flip window to window.
Next system will have 3 screens, especially considering how quickly the price of decent 20 inch monitors is coming down

Matrox has triple and quads (my editing system has a dual head plus all the matrox Xtreme stuff) but their multi monitor cards aren't really made for game playing or whatever.
Nvidia seems to have about the best cards for multi-monitor, and some of the PCI-E cards are frigging fast!

3x 20" (or 21" - dunno) TFTs hooked up to two Nvidia Quadro.
Working at 4800x1200 is really nice if you do a lot of stuff simultaneously.

Dual widescreen 22" samsungs, and using synergy to go between the laptop and desktop.
2 Desktops my main editing box uses DVI ports on the 22's and older machine I use for browseing and file serving uses vga port on the monitors. One click switches between machines on each monitor. Im currently setting up a kvm switching system for the vga port. Have another 8 machines I will be controlling from my desk for a total of 10 machines using the 22" monitors, and the laptop. Be a bit till they are all controlled from there month or two.

I use 4 monitors. The video card I use is 256mb nVidia quadro fx 3450, and the machine has twin dual-core 3.0's and 4gigs ram. I only use two monitors off that card, one off my MOJO and the last one is just being used as a source monitor. But the card supports 4.
