Valuev vs. Vitali Klitschko in September or October

By Matt Stein: After four off and on years as the World Boxing Association heavyweight champion, Nikolay Valuev (50-1, 34 KO?s) will be facing his toughest test of his career by fighting a unification bout against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (37-2, 36 KO?s) in September or October of this year. Vitali and Valuev, as well as big Nikolai?s promotional company, have confirmed that Vitali and Nikolai have spoken and come to an agreement about a fight.

Valuev will go down like a little bitch. that pussy refused to fight against Wladimir Klitschko who fought just last week against Chagayev instead who did not have the slightest chance and even went down for the first time in his career. And Chagayev had beat Valuev although he's 12 inch smaller.

Valuev might have had a chance against Wladimir, since Wladimir's normal reach advantage would have been negated and Valuev would be one of the few boxers that can reach Wladimir's weak chin. But Vitali is going to batter Valuev and it could get ugly. Vitali isn't going to go down on some fluke punch and he isn't going to fight Wladimir's overcautious style. I could see him going in there and trading with Valuev, who is so damn slow he is going to have a tough time slugging it out with Vitali.

You have to hand it to Vitali Klitschko, he has been very active since making his comeback...

what can i say - i've been a fan of both Klitschkos since they have been fighting in front of 150 people at the Universum Gym in Hamburg/Germany 10 years ago or so. But I always considered Vitali the better one since Wladimir did some really weak fights for some time. but the fight last Saturday was one of the best fights i have ever seen. and to see how Vitali knocks that animal out will be very satisfying too

Vitali and Wladimir are two of the best men in the business. I wasn't into boxing very much until I met them in Las Vegas when Wladimir fought Lamon Brewster in 04. They chose to stay at the hotel I was running back then which was off the strip and very low key compared to the Caesars. Sucks he lost that one but I was still more amazed by how cool and down to earth they both are. And yeah Vitali is gonna kick Valuev's asssss!

Vitali is gonna kick his ass.

I was watching the Vlad vs. Corrie Sanders fight where Vlad got knocked the fuck out. Vitali jumped into the ring slapped Sanders in the face and challenged him to a fight. 1 year later Vitali destroyed Sanders in 8 rounds. He could have had him in 2 but left him around to inflict damage. I had ring side seats for that fight by the way, and saw what Vitali was trying to do. Brutal. Vitali is the real deal, and unless Valuev has an incredible show, it will be a battle for two rounds and a long slow decline for Valuev.

                      Vitali in 7

If he is able to keep you at a distance and actually box against you he is hard to beat. He is incredibly smart, and in fantastic shape. He can easily go the distance, and he has no interest in the big knockout, or the dramatic finish. That also makes him very hard to beat.

If you can get inside, and rattle him, and make him actually fight you, anyone can have a chance. He is just so damn efficient at keeping fighters exactly where he wants them, that without taking a significant risk / chance most fighters are going to lose to Vlad.

                                  My opinion.
