I signed up for their affiliate program, and both AFF and Alt.com claimed that PPC was the default setting for my account, so I didn't need to add the -ppc on the end. I triple checked.
After a few days, I'd sent 20 hits to AFF and 2 to Alt.com from Daily Dose, and another 27 hits to Alt.com from another site (my site tracks outgoing hits as part of how it ranks the listings on my site, sorta like a top site). I know it's not much, but Daily Dose is only a little over a week old.
Imagine my surprise, then when I check my AFF and Alt.com stats to find them claiming I'd only sent 1 hit to Alt.com and 0 to AFF, and my account had been reset to default to revshare so I didn't even get a cent for the single hit.
Is this a common thing? Do they switch around your default settings from time to time? And why the almost 30-to-1 hit discrepancy?
