Sometimes you just have too. We did some design work for some people around here and got stiffed out of the $800 they owed us. We had problems with their payment on another project before but gave them the benefit of the doubt, as they were "friends". We were pretty much told in a nice way to go fuck ourselves and that we wouldn't be getting paid for the work we did. Guess we learned about our friends that day.

Unless it is an assload of money or you really can't afford to live without it I would say just let it slide and lesson learned.
