That's right.... I am going into tube business, I'm fed up with wasted traffic anymore...

smart tube pro (isnt out publicly) has far more features than any tube script including konrads.

mechbunny script is a nice script, but its lacking a lot of features, its very basic compared to the features smart tube pro has.

not knocking his script, just would be nice if he added more to it.

its just your basic add video, add sponsor code, etc.

nothing that blows your mind.

The reason i took konrads, is because he is a HELL of a coder that can add or make anything you want for it. Dunno smarttube off course, might be something that doesnt even need customizing because of all the features.

Beta-tester, i've tested it on a 100k a day site. Works fine with some tweaking, like turning off hits-in stats, country id etc. Normally thats covered in your server stats anyway.

TEVS pulls directly from the database for every page.

I believe that Konrad has a template addon that caches all TEVS pages. Makes it easy to design as well. I will let Konrad tell you more when he's ready to launch his addon.

I see... well caching is a must for such a script and site. Mysql could kill the server in no time, no to mention mixed with I/O HDD operations... Seems like this market needs some C++ script

The cheap tube scripts are for toy tubes.

I have used MediaMax, fawked up's, and another. Either junked it, or sold it. MediaMax was the best of that lot. But wasn't happy with base offering, and it was not easy to get mods.

I am VERY happy with konrads. It does everything I need, and wanted. The added tweaks I wanted done, he added in for me. The script does not time out, or crash, and can handle processing/encoding multiple clips (i've tried up to 50) at once. No problems.

konrads script allows multiple domains/installs, so it may be $1500+ but you can put it on as many of your tubes as you want for that price afaik, so yes some scripts may be $500 but that's for one license..

Konrad, you could just encode the licence files and distribute the script on per licence basis. Frankly, 1500$ for a script nowadays is not cheap at all.

this is a great way to do it, if I'm buying a script I hate to have to limit the number of domains I set up based on having to pay for each domain license, plus I might want to make a few modifications as well to fit my needs and put the script on a bunch of domains that might not necessarily each be huge income generators.... I won't even look at a tube script that requires a license per domain

I'm sick of people asking if I have ever worked with this script or that when really they are all the same when it comes to design integration. I can't judge which one works better, but I would like to try my hand at skinning all the ones mentioned in here. Thanks.

The majority of my clients are programs/big traffic guys. They often want to start off tube networks, etc so this won't really work. Besides, doing custom work then encoding stuff its just a huge pain in the ass.
