Well, suffice it to say I am unhappy seeing our efforts effectively devalued this past week. Without going into details, as they are irrelevant to the topic, DDG offered a promo for a week that effectively enticed surfers to join at a vastly reduced rate, and then recur in 10 days for another reduced rate -- the combined of which is less than the normal payouts. I could see this for revshare links if the recurring was a normal amount.

But what I thought really was a big faux pas, this discount was even injected into the PPS join forms, effectively enticing people to join the discount versus the PPS links to which you targeted.

This discount effectively competed with your normal link options on the same join form. The smarter way would have been to introduce a new join link for affiliates to choose if they wanted to give the promo a try, versus having this option compete with affiliates for the lower payouts.

To summarize, webmasters this past week probably saw more signups, but will likely have earned less -- at least that's been our case.

No hard feelings though, their sandbox and all. And certainly their choice to increase memberships anyway they can. But to say I don't feel gyped out of revenues and have not lost a little respect for the DDG program, I'd be lying.

Thus, the reason I am looking to work with another sponsor to fill the void we will have going forward in the absence of DD.
