Sexkey used to send good traffic from the linklist - but its been a while since I used them.
SexKey has always been good for me. Money from promoting them has paid for just about everything I own. I bought a BMW last year with a *single* SexKey check. They rock, there's no one that's ever converted CLOSE to how they convert for me.
Although my "average" ratio with them is like 1:40-1:80, I have some (fetish) sites that do more like 1:10 ... it's sick.
And here is how much I'd recommend them ... refcode free link: http://www.sexkey.com
Hit up Craig after you've signed up -- he's a badass with getting people what they need, and has always been able to juice my sites to new levels.
you do far better on AVS sites these days if you rely on your own traffic and promote your avs sites as if they were a sponsor
For sure, that's been my experience. If you find a quality niche, have some good pictures (and not the usual shit), you'll usually be fine. People have come to expect such a load of crap from most AVS lists, so if you're just a tiny bit above that, you're in a much better position that most.

I make custom tour/join pages usually, for mine.
That is how I have been making my AVS money with Cyberage for over 5 years now. Heck, a couple of my most profitable AVS sites aren't even on the Cyberage link list because I have been too lazy to chase them up and get them back on the list after a host change or something. Yet, because I promote them like a sponsor they make sales from other traffic.

You're just like me, with being reluctant to join the link lists. I create a lot of little accounts with most sponsors to hide my true sales totals, and being on the link list kind of "exposes" sites that have a similar flow.
Heck, most of the time, I don't really upsell much in the member's area.
How is Cyberage nowadays? Haven't promoted them in ages. They used to convert decently for me back in the day.
Best AVS system that sends the most traffic to its linklist is ProAdult.com
They lost my respect in the VISA problems of a few years ago, when their affiliates were posting "Come to ProAdult, they don't care about the rules," trying to steal other AVS's affiliates. PA laughed about it, and so I'd never send them a join.

I do mostly fetishes and micro-niche stuff so sometimes it is best to stay off the list rather than expose the market too much.
Cyberage's platinum sites are better for me now than they ever have been. The long rebills are what makes the checks nice. I never put too much energy into other avs systems even though I know I should expand. I just have such a large network of sites with them it feels like too much work to start from scratch.

That's the thing. I've done really well with the pantyhose niche, and for a while, there wasn't much competition .. as people saw the viability, more piled on ... I was annoyed when people put it out there so much on the link lists, etc. -- gave too many people the idea, ha.

That's awesome to hear. SexKey doesn't rebill (the signup is free and they pay the webmaster $20, so what would they rebill, eh?), but their other program, ScrewBucks, does. Rebills are really sweet if you want to go "hands off" for a period of time and keep your income.
I feel your pain on the expansion thing. I still have some sites from 1996 or so, and they just suck ass. I couldn't be bothered to redo EVERYTHING, so I sold off a major chunk of the network in 2003 and used the capital to build other things. There's a market out there, for sure, if you decide to go that route.

Amongst other things, I do a lot of foot and shoe fetish sites and in most of them I am nearly the only webmaster promoting those micro-niches. Not much traiffic comes from the link list so it is just better buisness sense to skip it.
I have some sites on Sex Key but I need at add more. I like that they will let me upsell to my Cyberage platinum sites from within so it wouldn't be too much of a redesign of the sites. It is just getting off my bum and doing it.
Dwayne from Sexkey here revolte. Edgeprod os totally right about our programs, and thanks for all the great words Edge. Sexkey does not rebill. We have been paying webmasters on time for the past decade. Our link list is a great way to pull surfers out of our program.
Screwbucks is a new VOD program that has a flat payout option, or a rev-share option that is split 60/40 to the webmaster. This program is great to promote because it is new and no one ahs seen it. It has MP4 formats to download to your mobile unit. The surfer can watch as much as they like as often as the like for one low price.

Im pretty sure they do rebill - its a trial a pornkings and then they rebill....

or at least thats how it used to work?
No. You keep your membership for a year FREE, regardless of if you do pornkings or not. There is NO rebill for access if you don't want one. It *is* truly FREE for the surfer. Webmaster gets $20 either way, which is a lot better, IMO, than chancing a surfer rebill. $20 on a free signup? If you can't give away FREE, you shouldn't be within 100 miles of this business.

Yeah, SexKey has few restrictions ... always been like that, probably always will be.
