Simple rule with cops. Don't resist and be as nice as possible. Even if they still act like dicks don't take it personally. Realize they deal with assholes everyday and sometimes that makes them assholes. If you resist arrest 99% of the time you get what is coming to you. I have no idea what she said in the car.. But I do know for a fact, you do not have to sign a ticket. You have the right to refuse because you don't agree.....
And he never "asked" her to step away from the road.. he yelled from the start... he pushed her, before he asked... So the entire end situation happened because the cops ego got in the way..
Cops are the people that should be professional.. If you don't think you did wrong and you want to speak your mind, if you don't want to sign the ticket.. THATS YOUR RIGHT...

"What Ifs" have to be looked at in situations. Thats how people learn going forward. A taser has 50,000+ Volts. If the woman (as stupid as she was acting) had a bad/weak heart it could have done damage.
Could the officer had done things differently. Perhaps negotiated a bit more before asking her to get out on a busy highway and letting things escalate over a speeding ticket. He certainly lacks the skills to diffuse an ornery old lady I would hate to see him pull up on some thugs.Living in Virtual Reality

I think he made the right choice. If he tried to cuff her with her fighting him would have lead to more injuries.
At the end of the day she had no injuries. Thats pretty impressive. If it were LA, she would have taken an ass whooping before the cuffs went on.

It appears she asked her out of the car because she wouldn't sign the ticket.. that got granny mad.. prob why she said fine, I will sign the damn ticket...
At that moment he started to yell, to an extreme.. and then pushed her. Even though they were in danger.. It's ONLY after that point she took it to far.

The point was, HE shouldn't have taken that far.. it shouldn't have ever gotten to the point he had to pull the taser out. The point at the street when she wouldn't back off, he should stepped off the street himself.. he could have walked her to the other side of his car.. all he had to do, was turn and walk and she WOULD have followed.
