    Video Cam selection advice please

I take alot of motorsport photos and am keen on adding some video footage aswell.

I don't want to go all out and spend 3 - 5k on a HD camera (although in a perfect world...)

What suggestions do you guys have?

    Needs
    - decent zoom
    - not dvd recordable type
    - i'd like best vid quality possible naturally

Also what are the types of things I should look out for?

    TIA

Yes have checked out that vx2100 - but just not all that keen on spending another 3 to 4 k on a vid cam after spendingg 6 on getting my 30D sorted...

Also i'd like to place the cam on cars so it may get damaged at some stage...
