Trillian pissing you off? Use Digsby

Any chance it imports your contacts if you have renamed them. I'd love to stop using Trillan, its been screwing me for a long time, but all my contacts are renamed and having to figure that all out whould take days.

Ya I've had it installed for awhile, but it still lacks stuff that I was used to in trillian. Btw I know its a pain in the ass, but for most contacts on trillian if you right click their icq number and goto view info it will auto import their nick. I just did the upgrade to astra yesterday so far so good, some things I don't like though, but giving it a shot. I had the same deal with trillian pro with the 30 to 45 sec lock ups when shutting a window too, and could never find a solution to it.

I have been having issues with trillian as well. Most of my contacts reverted to numbers.

the thing I don't like about Digsby is the need to have account on their site in order to use the client. That's a bit suspicious as they have the ability to monitor all your conversations.

That's why I stick with pidgin and Adium.

I use both but digsby is a back up, but I have it running as I have a site where I used the embed client on it for support stuff, but run just that on there. Astra so far I am happy with.
