It seems to be insanely hard to get right.

1 - Use a standard format to present your FLVs, preferably the same one everyone else uses. XML is good!
2 - Include the name of the paysite we're supposed to promote in the XML! What's the point with creating promotion material and then not telling us what it's promoting? It's not like I'm going to watch every FLV to figure that out.

NO longer than 2 minutes really.

It's not so much a standard. But there are such good sites out there. And I can't promote them any other way. Of course I don't want anyone to go way out of their way just for me, but I imagine some other affiliates might need them too. For example, a surfer emailed in a 30 second muffia video of a double wang gag video. I encoded it and hosted it. I made sales. Actually did well. I would like to see something like that, in flv format more often. See, I'm not a tube site, I'm not looking to fill up my database. I'm trying to find something that turns the surfer on, while they are getting their daily fill of crazyshit.

I like a decent quality video. Usually, I play it in a 400x300 player. Since it's flash, a smaller or larger video will still play in that player and look ok. I would say length for me is around 1-3 minutes. but more towards the 2 min mark. I have banners and text all around the player along with a clickable player.
