Personally I think pedo bear is hysterical but I do have a problem with posting pics of children on any message board (the kids have no way to consent to a photo being taken and no way to control its use). I would not like a pic of me being used as an internet joke but at least I am an adult. If I was making the rules for a board I would say posting pics of kids is not allowed under any circumstance.
I guess what I am trying to say is that pedo bear should only be allowed to molest cartoon kids.

@ DWB, there's exactly one problem here only: That some parents don't teach their kids about the internet's and IRL's dangers. They would rather accept new fascist laws, than actually make an effort and teach the kid to be careful.

I'm not familiar with the origins of pedo bear or what post set DWB off.
The occasional times I have seen the pedo bear image on message forums such as this, it is generally used as a tongue and cheek satirical jab at what someone else posted. As was previously noted, you see Chris Hanson being referenced this way all of the time.
Straight guys on this forum frequently throw out gay innuendo about themselves or others in ambiguous ways simply for the sake of humor. It doesn't make them gay or even gay curious.
I don't know how many of you recall, but Hustler ran a recurring comic for over ten years titled "Chester the Molester", which was pretty repugnant the few times I saw it. Yet it was allowed to be published for over ten years (I've never been a huge fan of Hustler, so I don't know if they still publish that sort of material).
I've met DWB before, and have worked alongside him against content piracy, and I actually like the guy for his outspokenness, however I think he is a little off base on this crusade, especially given his choice of tactics (assuming he is not bluffing).
While I am not fond of some of the content that DWB produces, I believe that he does work with legal age models, and so I simply choose to not view it when it veers towards topics I am not interested in (banging trannies, simulated rape, etc).
One of the things I like about GFY is being able to come here and let off a little steam, read or tell funny stories, and joke around in a largely uncensored forum. I would hate to see that stiffeled.
