Turnkey adult packages - input needed

    Turnkey adult packages - input needed

    Howdy,

    For some time now i am looking to start my own website. Since my budget is not big enough i was thinking of buying an adult turnkey website package like presented on profitadult.com but little voices in my head told me to go get some input first. The general idea is to buy an adult turnkey package, in the $2500 price range and use that profit to save for my own stand alone adult website.

    Are those packages any good? Any input, ideas, information is much appreciated.

      Depending on your situation, a turnkey site can be a great way to get your feet wet especially if you are not a webmaster.

      Getting the site only half the battle. Think of it as if you are buying a hot dog cart, you will need to work it daily and get a good corner with lot's of traffic.

      Without traffic your turnkey site will make you nothing.

      I used to sell turnkey sites many years ago. Most of the people who bought them never promoted them so they made very little to no money.

          Be very sure you own the site and thus can take the name and site with youm if you leave and go to another host etc.
          My thoughts are you may want to research it a lot more before handing over the cash.
          Personally I would not go for it.

              There is allot that goes inot running a turnkey site. Do you have any design expierence, HTML experience or can you market. If you dont have the knowledge to do these basic things you may want to read, learn and start from the bottom up. There are so many types of Turnkey packages and all require a little something different.
              I do not know anything about the company you speak of, but you have started out right by asking instead of plunking down 2500.00 and realizing you are stuck.

              I know of one company that does do good work and is trustworthy...check out www.pornsitepros.com , ask for Hammer and let him know Nikki sent ya.

                  Personally, it seems kinda like a serious ripoff to me. What are you getting for the money? A crappy design with a bunch of extremely over-saturated streaming "content" plug-ins and feeds. PLUS they want to keep 20% of any profits? Yeah, right. Not to mention the fact that it is HIGHLY unlikely that you are going to be getting rebills (expect a few chargebacks as well) with such a weak members area.

                  Or you could just sign up for hosting, pay a designer to design you a good site, and stock it with decent content that will keep members interested (for under $2500 easily). Just my .02 on the subject

                                      Turnkeys are for good for one thing and that's taking money from newbies. I'll tell you what man.... You know what's similar but much better than a turnkey? Find a good sponsor that already has kick ass sites and content and does all the work for you and practice making sales for them at a commission rate. That way you can learn what it takes to make sales and prove to yourself that you can turn a profit before you invest any money.

                                                  don't say that, you need at least $5 million to start a paysite (ask 99% of the GFYers if you don't believe me)

                                                      Alright, thank you people for the input.

                                                      @BobG: I already know some tips and tricks to make sales, i have been generating sales with sponsors for a few months now, that's where i got the money to invest from. I started from scratch after i had a bad deal (non adult) taking me down financially.

                                                          Thats a fantastic deal and probably much better then most out there. A lot of these "turnkey" sites seem very fishy with ownership and hosting.
