    It's time for another religious debate thread.

    Can somebody please explain the following to me?

    Why is it that Americans, in general, show disrespect to Middle Easterners while worshiping Jesus at the same time?

    The U.S. is full of self proclaimed Christians who fly American flags, sing along to The Angry American, label all Middle Easterners as Rag Head Terrorists, and then go to church on Sunday to worship Jesus while portraying him as a white man so that they may feel better about the fact that they are praising a minority.

    The KKK based their prejudice on Christian beliefs but they hated those who were not white. WTF, yo?

      most americans are scared insecure people with simple minds and their thoughts and beliefs are pushed on them from a very young age, so changing what they are taught or told makes them very frightend, even they learn it later in life, if what they believe is the common thought among their peers, standing up and voicing a different opinion would be horrific for them

          In general people are hypocrites. Then assuming they even actually are religious, few of them attend any church and more so they are cafeteria Christians at best.
          They also seem to think that the human race started white and that dark skinned humans were created after Cain killed able. Followed up with no sense of any logical scientific history if it happens to contradict what menu items they pulled from the bible.

              It is simple, the majority of Christians do not actually read or understand the message of the Christ and they still think that the old testament has some bearing on their faith even after Jesus said it Himself that it is all irrelevant.

              the old testament had a very hard line approach and it makes it easier to be a hater.

                                  Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is that many of the Jews I know have a skin color I'd feel comfortable calling "white". Jesus, being a Jew, could very well have been white.

                                  Personally, I don't care what color he is. Black Jesus works for me too. Well, not literally. I've never employed a "Jesus" of any color, actually. I've worked with a few while in High school. All of them were rather brown skinned.
