After years of Porsche 911's its time for a change. Everyone round where I live has a 911, so I decided on a Gallardo

So who has one, whats is it like compared to a 911 (bet you had one before), and what color is yours.

I'm thinking silver, to match my X5

I have a pearl yellow Gallardo.After driving Porsche 911's for 10 years (still do)the Lamborghini has been everything I hoped it would be and more.The affiliation with Audi engineering was clearly a good thing for Lambo.The lambo will outrun the 993TT,out handle and out-brake it by a good margin.It could easily be a daily driver.
The only downside is the *rockstar* factor. Everytime I take the Lambo out it gets photographed numerous times.Getting gas is an event with people wanting to check the car out.If you want to get more feedback,hit me up on ICQ...four one four zero one six two.

The thing about Lamborghini,is it's always been an IN YOUR FACE kind of car.
Yellow is the marque color.I haven't seen a picture of green or orange that really does it justice.If you have the opportunity to see those colors in the flesh they are fantastic.

If you want safe,you buy a silver Porsche a black Mercedes or a nice red ferrari.Lamborghini makes a statement.

My performance car options were always limited by headroom problems, 6' 3"... I owned several Porsches, 944t, 930 (two, one caught on fire five miles after major tune-up), 911t.

I envy your choices and would go with the Lambo because it really will be a "new" car for you. Another 911 won't.

On a different subject ... In every super-car thread comments are usually positive. If I were to post about an H1 or Suburban negative comments would comprise most responses.

"Why do you need something that big"
"You're wasting natural resources, gas guzzler, etc"

The H1 gets the same mileage as the Lambo .... The Suburban about 20% more.

I have experienced this myself in different cars. I call it the one-car-parade. Yes,that's one of those things that never come up between lambo/ferrari guys.Gas mileage on the Gallardo is around 12mpg.I think that has a lot to do with the fact that they are always driven fast! I've been on the freeway a few times with mine and at 75mph the computer says it's getting 26mpg.

I love that orange color on the car. One major reason being is it isn't so common. Everyone and their brother who has an exotic seems to have a banana yellow ferrari or lambo (no offense Minte). Its nice to see other colors being used well.

a lambo gallardo is the only engine sound that almost literally gave me a semi boner... it was racing at an italian car show along with ferraris and lambo diablos, countaches and murcielago's.... i was suprised the lil brother of the murci has a sound that beats his big brother by far

No offense taken.If I lived in LA or Miami..I might have gone with green or orange.In Wisconsin,I am only aware of 2 G's in the entire state.

For me,the Gallardo is my first Italian car.I really wanted to stay true to the marque.I am clearly a traditionalist when it comes to cars.
My E55 is black,the carrera is silver,the TT is arena red.The 328cab is guards red,The MiniS is bright blue.If I ever add a ferrari,odds are it will be red.

I saw an orange one going down the road over the weekend and it looked great. I think if you're going to get a car like a Lamborghini you need to get it in a wild color.

The lime green is my favorite.
