    Fathers, I don't like having sex with my wife after witnessing birth of our son

    This was about 4 months ago and I don't know what to do. She's been really great about getting back in shape and is even starting to get a little aggressive in initiating sexual contact. Before she got pregnant, we were like rabbits - all the time, anywhere, every position. Then, when she got pregnant, I started seeing her in a bit of a different way.

    Finally, when she gave birth, I saw way too much. Our son's head ripped her vagina open. She lost control of her bowels. The resulting mix of blood, shit, and amniotic fluid produced a sight and smell in the delivery room I never EVER want to experience again.

    Any other GFYer dads experience this? I should have stayed in the waiting room but she insisted that I " be there for the birth of our child. "

    I'm really at a loss here. The result is that I find her unattractive, even sexually repulsive now. She might think I'm having an affair, but I'm not. Yet.

              talk to your doctor about this. im sure that you're not alone here.

              please dont resort to the affair. it sounds as if you've already had something lined up, but didn't have the balls to actually do it.

              cheating on your wife just because you are having a problem now could not only have an affect on you, but the connection between you and your child. I'm sure that your child is gonna turn into a fuckup if you tell them that you found their birth (and essentially them) repulsive

                      If it makes you feel better, woman are usually tighter after childbirth than they were before, because of the curtesy stitches from the doctor. The fact that you're repulsed by a natural thing that happens during childbirth is normal for a guy, but just imagine how you would feel if that were you and you couldn't control your body infront of a bunch of strangers ? Give her some props.

                              I'm disgusted by the childbirth. I think it should be like the old days when men stayed in the waiting room and passed out cigars later. Men shouldn't have to see his wife and kid until she is scrubbed, cleaned and sutured up and put back together again. No wonder so many men cheat after the kids arrive. It's fucking gross.

                              Now because of that nightmarish experience, I can't seem to get rid of this image of my newborn son's head ripping her insides out.

                                                                          I stayed up by my wife's head during the birth (holding her hand, stroking her hair, keeping eye contact, reminding her to breathe, that kind of thing) so I didn't see the actual head pop out or any of the related fun stuff.

                                                                                  How do you think the mother of your child would feel in that situation? It was YOUR SEED that impregnated her, grew inside her, and caused her pain and tearing. If that were me, I would be terrified about the pain I was going to have and I would only hope that the person who put me in that position would be there to hold my hand and help me through it. If you honestly didn't want to whitness it, you should've discussed it with her beforehand and not resent her afterward. Sure it's gross, but it's just a gross for her, having the embarrassment of having it come out of her when her water breaks, while strangers are watching it happen to her, and the month of heavy pms afterwards.

                                                                                  You should suck it up and make her feel special for even giving you something as special as your child.

                                                                                          You have to remember that childbirth is a natural thing. I saw my baby boy come out and watch the doc as he removed the placenta afterward. Sure I was grossed out at the time but you move past it and you should have huge respect for what your wife went through. it's not like she really had a choice about those things happening to her body at the time.

Try to imagine what your wife had to go through! They compare it to a man trying to squeeze a lemon out of his peehole. Childbirth is a natural and beautiful thing. To watch a brand new life enter into this world is really a miracle, and if you hadn't been there for it, you'd probably regret it.

                                                                                                      More likely than not, your wife is already suffering from the self-esteem issues that almost every woman goes through after childbirth, and your attitude won't help a damn thing.
