    Best place to download music (legally)

    Where is the best place to download mp3's? I see napster has some monthly option, and itunes has a .99c per download option. What do you guys use?

    (btw, I know how to download music for free, but i'd rather avoid doing that if possible)

          MTV has a new one called www.urge.com its alright, not the best though.

          www.napster.com has a good one too. itunes is overpriced in my opinion.

                              They have 3rd party billing. I've charged my card twice with no problems at all.

                              RIAA is trying to shut them down, but they do pay royalties... in Russia. lol

                              I think that right now they're still legal in the US. I wouldn't know, I'm freezing my ass in South America right now.

                                                                              You can download by song for 99¢ like ITunes or pay the monthly subscription.

                                                                              The monthly has 2 tiers one you can just play on your computer for like $10 a month and you can download as many songs as you like. For like $5 more you can put songs on a portable MP3 players( except Ipod ) of course once you subscription runs out you no longer have access to the music.

                                                                              Yahoo as has a similar plan. Except it's $7 a month for the basic plan or $60 for a year. Their "To go" plan which you can put the music on portable players is $12 a month $120 if you pay for a year.

                                                                              If you subscribe to Yahoo Music Unlimited you can buy songs for 79¢

                                                                              I'm not much into buying music so I do the subsciption thing. I've tried both. I'm currently using Yahoo because it's cheaper plus I like it a bit better, but they are both about the same as far as number of songs. Both have free tirals so it doesn't hurt to trt them out and see if you like them. Of course you don't pay any monthly fee if you just want to buy music from either.

                                                                                                                              When you play a song in their guide section in WMP it downloads it to your pc in the temp internet files, just locate the file then put it in a folder you can easily access.

I haven't noticed any of the songs I've listen to being censored.

                                                                                                                                                                                          BTW, the other services advertise a million songs while Urge claims several million.
