Exactly..our site doesn't run on purely affiliate traffic, we have multiple sources from SE traffic to private deals to paid campaigns, etc...

Hey Iwantu crew. Did you know that Zango (spyware) is allowing people to bid on your keyword (domain name - iwantu.com ). So basically people signup to iwantu, buy from zango and steal from you and your other affiliates.

How do you feel about this. Do you support signups that are generated from spyware? DO you support affiliates who steal signups from your other affiliates and your personal advertising ?

Hey Will,

After reading your thread, I don't think any of our affiliates would be affected by this type of spyware. Here is how our process/priority currently works:

When a link is clicked on your site by a surfer:
- If there is an id in your link, that takes top priority over everything else
- If there is no cookie already set, we set the refer cookie to the campaign id to track the visitor if he returns without your link so you still get credit

When the surfer hits the join page:
- If there is an id in the link, that is used
- If there is no id in the link, a cookie is used (if one exists)

So there is no cookie overwriting happening here...

No, if something is stealing form our affiliates we would NOT support it. I thought that would be easily assumed from my answering you a few posts above

From what I read of your thread quickly, you said they overwrite cookies to steal the traffic. I showed you above how we don't allow cookies to be overwritten, so they shouldn't be harming us or our affiliates via that method.

If they use other methods, please let me know (as well as what ID they may be using for themselves) and we shall see what can be done to prevent it.

Is this answer clear enouh for you now? Or do you have another sarcastic reply instead?

Hi tttcash,

1) Please speak with Lara about this to see what can be arranged. There are also a few design companies she can refer you to who have worked with other partners of ours and are familar with working with our templates

2) I think this relates to question #1 ?

3) Changing the design to be mainstream would be up to you as we don't have a pure dating default template set available yet (we will in the future). Simply changign the colors in the CSS as well as some of the explicit images shoudl do the trick. Then, simply tell us you wish your partner site to use our dating club instead of our adult one, and we will do it in the DB for you. Then any searches, etc.... will only use our dating club (mainstream).

4) We will soon be releasing our own gay dating interface, but until then, you can modify things such as the search to only have men seeking men, change the design, etc...to make your partner site gay-themed.
