If you are talking about VOB files - > wmv

I use Videocharge. I think sorenson squeeze will also get the job done.

Sorenson doesnt do .vob from what I can see

Are you happy with the VideoCharge? I did not see that feature but will go look now. And it is important, NO ERRORS.

from disc to hdd - dvd decrypter

hdd to avi - gordion knot/auto gk - this will deinterlace the dvd and put it into a size you can store for future use - like encoding to a new format/resolution or watermarking for a different site

avi to wmv/mpg - canopus pro coder or cleaner xl

when you get to the point that your doing more a month than you want to do inhouse hit me up!

theres several ways to go right from dvd to wmv - i just dont care for any of them.. i do large batches 100-400 or more so i like the method i listed.

the direct methods are probably faster but i like the avi file for taking screencaps and storage - also some of the direct dvd to wmv lose audio sync. have this problem often with videocharge. they do a crap job deinterlacing too, or skip it alltogether.

check out handysaw also, for trimming out different scenes - it can scan the files based on thresholds you set.
