Porno Trading Cards

How many of you here are aware that they even exist?

How many of you collect them, anyone?

There seems to be a steady market by a few of the big names in the industry like Playboy and Wicked and even some heavy stuff from Japan.

It seems that these were huge in the 90's with Hot Shots, Hustler, Penthouse and a slew of smaller companies like Ultravision, Infinity, Lasting Images, etc. Still today there seems to be a steady flow of new products, but I was just wondering about you folks here as I have never seen the subject come up on this board

That is kind of the reaction I get when I have chatted with lots of folks in the adult business. I find it kind of amazing that there seems to be a complete disconnect in the Adult Trading Cards market from the rest of the Adult industry in a big way.

We used to carry them in our hobby shop. Was never able to display them to well since you could not show much with so many kids present. So we did our best to keep most adult comics, anime, cards, etc. sort of hidden in plain sight so to speak. We would sell some cards (rarely if ever packs). So typically that meant we had to open up boxes full (3-4) so that we could assemble 5-6 full sets or so not including inserts that could be sold separately.

So what I want to know is why you folks here are not creating collectible trading cards yourselves of all these hot girls you are working with already? It might be a great way to keep people coming back to your sites if there was something each month that they could actually purchase that was tangible. Oh well, just a thought.

I am really surprised that Twisty's, Bang Bros and Reality Kings are not hitting the porn collectibles market with their material. These places seem huge and I am sure if the product existed that it would bring a who new crowd of folks to the web sites that would probably otherwise not do so.

Playboy is churning out mass quantities of these things, even to this day, the Japanese are churning out tons too....It might be a way to cash in on a market that seems to be untapped, hell even unknown, by most of the folks here.

Check out the Adult category on eBay, its a constant flow of these things...

I was going to wait a bit longer to make this announcement, but since for the first time that i can remember on this board someone brought up trading cards I'll do it now before I loose my shot lol...

We are working on a Trading card Series for the past few months that will be sold via Mainstream chain stores, trade shows and more, We are looking for TWELVE (12) Models to feature on the cards, (Goth, ALT, or Teen would work best)

Having sold many of these in the past and not selling even more of them. You may really want to rethink your model number a great deal. People want a whole shitload more girls than 12, almost every time we got any cards with fewer than 80 plus people they were hard sales not only to the customers but the actual stores themselves.

There is more then 12 cards in this series, I'm only opening up 13 cards to the adult industry, those 13 cards are a sub-set within the card set.

Our 2nd or 3rd series will be all adult talent, this one is just a sub-set.

Hey Loki, that sounds great! I would love to know some more details and I will email you shortly. I've been collecting non-sports cards and adult cards for over 10 years and do have a bit of experience and insight into the nuances of how collectors think. I know quite a few card dealers in NS and adult and could point you to a some folks that might be interested. If you are doing an adult set there are some basic things I would recommend you consider. Maybe we can chat via email and learn a little...

Hustler surprisingly has not put out cards for several years, and what they did put out is becoming very scare and HTF. There are a LOT of various cards that have been put out by various companies over the last decade. In our database we have recorded about 80 different companies that have released adult cards.

Again, I am surprised that this is not something that the big boys that hang out here look at seriously. Just take a look at eBay's adult trading card section and watch what rotates through there...it's pretty amazing, especially the money that some of these things go for...

I think its a matter of getting the cards into the hands of the right people that will appreciate them, as with any other collectible item. Its a matter of proper perspective and understanding the market that will appreciate it, and collect/consume it...

Another example....just like in sports cards, where they will take a baseball bat and cut it up into 500 little pieces and attach those pieces to limited edition collectible cards, they do the same with adult cards, only with swatches of clothing or lingerie...

You can visit our web site, AdultTradingCards.com, which we recently launched. We have a store where we are moving our extras into for purchase. We also have links to a couple of dealers that we highly recommend. Most adult cards are sold on eBay or through online dealers.
