So the external hard drive is showing up in my device manager.. but not showing up as clickable under "My Computer" and the seagate people said there's no way to access it.

Geek Squad dude told me to save myself money that there are a few PC programs out there that can access GPT...

Help?
Download Ubuntu. Boot from the Live CD that is created and you should be able to access both drives. Copy as needed.

No installation is necessary...obviously.
