First of all times changed (I've more staff now than several years ago and they becomes more and more professional from day to day) but we still adding TGPs on the same principle like a month, year or 2-3 years ago.
If there any chance that our user will receive even 1 hit a day from that TGP - it worth to get it listed for _autosubmission_.
If there any chance that our user will get at least 1000 hits a day from TGP - it's worth to get it listed even for Human Emulator.
And of course we have restrictions on sites, CP, Zoo, cheating faking and so on.
Until Nov 2002 we used a good method to know if TGP from our list sends traffic to our users, or not. We offered embedded statistics for our users. If they were agree to place counter on their pages.
Then we checked overall statistics from A LOT of users and A LOT of galleries. And we were able to find fake TGPs that didn't send traffic at all - easily.
But the problem was that statistics was not our own, but a cooperation with MegaTracker.com. And after overall hits a day on ALL galleries were over 10.000.000 it becomes very slow to work with MegaTracker. So we removed that counter and at this time we working under our own statistics system.
We also hurt by cheaters, we also hurt by russian (and not only russian) carders. You're right! Some tgps makes changes right after they get listed in database, just for showing their recip for example on users galleries. We trying to fight with all of it like you.
We made very smart spider to check for changes on TGPs, to make changes in our base or removing that tgp. Popeye (is our english spoken database admin) trying to get contact with tgp owners to see what happened.. and so on...
We just trying to do our best. It's impossible to get everything 100% functional... even according for computers but not for humans.
