I am using the command -

    unrar e file.rar

How do I use it to open password protected files?

          you can try:

Thanks, but I am unable to get the file extracted. Im probably getting the syntax wrong. Problem is I have to do this through a cron job since I dont have shell access so I cant see the error messages.

And yes, I know the password, I have opened the file on my desktop using the password and winrar, but unable to do it on server.

Oh great it worked! I just had to remove the space between -p and <password>.

                Thanks again Way3!
