Hi Mopek1,

Wow that is a really open ended question. I work the Mainstream side now and came from Adult. There are differences for sure... but there are many similarities. One thing you will need to get used to is the payout structure. It is VERY different.

The company I work for (LeadFlash.com), offers many different offers, ranging from Auto Loans to Education, but we focus on Sub-Prime Credit offers such as Payday Loans. Now conversions with Payday Loans for us RoX...That I can vouch for 100%.

As far as what they are seeking?
I would not say surfers go looking for mainstream ads (that would be odd), rather the sites that they visit SHOULD complement the sites content or audience. As far as conversions go with mainstream, it all depends upon the traffic (like adult). Overall, I feel that mainstream converts extremely well, just have to find the right product or niche.

mainstream is king ... you just have to have a shopping site and traffic, thats it.

traffic= interlinking, blogs, adwords

Swiss traffic once paid me $1.3 per click (shopping traffic). No joke!

But getting deals like $0.60 per click is nothing unusual if you have good traffic. And that makes some $$$ for sure!

I have a mainstream forum that I'm developing informational products for.

On the adult side, I'm a primary and secondary producer, a sponsor and control my own traffic stream. I'm applying this same model to mainstream, developing the traffic, products and controlling the offer and revenue stream.

There are more similarities than differences between mainstream and adult e-commerce; both require targeted traffic and a decent offer in order to profit.

If some of you guys have good traffic (maybe an ad network) and wants to make cash with european traffic (geo-ip targeting required) than i can intrduce you to the "internation publisher director" at tradedoubler. This will bring you some campaigns for your european traffic for sure. And ... check your stats, you have european traffic for sure!
