I've dealt with the same agent since the beginning, he always hips me to the artists that are flakey and the ones that are super reliable. Believe it or not, Ying Yang was his favorite to work with, they're super easy to deal with and they always show up and have a great time. I've passed on many big name artists when I hear about their history. I was thinking about E-40 for this one, but he also has a bad history. When Ja Rule was almost cool, he was the worst when it came to no shows.
Ice Cube is a professional unlike most rappers, so I'm thinking he'll be reliable. He just needed to make sure he didn't have a movie set to be at during that time, he said he's free for our date.
I always cross my fingers though. The only artist that made me sweat was Snoop. He didn't show up to the venue until he HAD to hit that stage. Yeah, I was a bit nervous. Then KB walked on stage while I was filling time thanking sponsors, he said Snoop just got to the venue and he's backstage kickin' it with Jenna. WHEW!!!! That made me a bit nervous. Turned out to be the best Players Ball ever.
Man, people should only know the real behind the scenes with this type of event.

Well, it looks pretty convincing Ice Cube is the better choice for most webmasters. I wonder though if that's mostly because the older folks at least know who he is as opposed to not knowing some of the newer rap these days.
I must say, Cube is my personal choice by far, but I wanted to get a measure from GFY on how many people even know from Ying Yang. I think for those people who don't know them by name, they'd at least recognize, "BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY... BOOTY EVERYWHERE!"
