Actually, that's correct. India is in the Asian continent. Indians, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, and Pakistanis are sometimes called South Asians. Also, in England "Asian" connotes not just North East Asians like Japanese and Chinese but also Indians.

i know about South Asia - but really, when 99.9% of people describe the enthnicity/nationality of somebody from India or Pakistan they would say 'he's Indian' or 'she's East Indian' - nobody would say she's Asian.

In the United States we have Southerners, Northerners, Westerners... it's just a micro-geological breakdown of a larger area. India is still in Asia.

Yes, but if you go to their models page and try to do a search by ethnicity, there is no option for "E Indian". Based on the fields they have available, in this case Asian is the best option. She is not African American, Caucausian, Hispanic or Mixed, which are the only other options.

Regardless of where india/pakistan is located geographically, In California atleast if you asked an indian,pakistani, bangladesh folk what they consider themselves - they wouldn't say "asian". They would say Indian, pakistani or bangladesh. They actually don't liked to labeled be asian. Here - When someone says "asian" it mainly refers to chinese, korean, japanese, vietnamese. If I see an indian guy I wouldn't say "hey there goes that asian guy"
