John quit his job a couple of years ago when the show took off and they starting doing the talk shows and book signings.
Kate is a very smart and obsessively anal woman to state the obvious. Much of her organizational skills are probably what made things work at the start, but her act wears thin and she has become more domineering with each season.
Nobody knows for sure what goes on when the cameras aren't rolling, but I think with this article coming out we are about to find out a lot of things as the summer wears on.
