Question about selling vintage content?
I will be offering a few sets on my new contentshop which have been shot pre 1995. Do I have to supply the buyers with some form of statement saying that the set is 2257 exempt?

For example there are a bunch of DVD´s on the marcket, especially those compilations of older porn. They have a clause on the back with something about being exempt from 2257 due to date of production? I might be wrong on this one but I wanted to make sure.Comment

Here I found a clause like this:
"Some of the aforementioned depictions appearing or otherwise contained in or at these sites contain only visual depictions of actual sexually explicit conduct made before July 3, 1995, and, as such, are exempt from the requirements set forth in 18 U.S.C. 2257 and C.F.R. 75."

They (Being the Government) clarified this issue. Anyone with common sense understands that one could not be required to keep records before there was a record keeping requirement. Otherwise all pre-existing porn shot before 1995 and dating back to the dawn of photography would then be illegal.
Ideally yes you would desire documentation, specially if it was shot real close to the end of June 1995. Required by law though, no. Are they exempt, yes they are.
Seriously though if your selling content and you do not have a lawyer and or at least consult with one that understands these laws. You really should go about getting one. This is your ass as well as all of your potential buyers sitting in a proverbial sling.Comment
