they haven't reported on anything that really has to do with why the plane sent out the mayday call yet, all they said is that the plane sent out a mayday call that the plane was hijacked and then she interrupted herself and said that the plane had just landed in italy i believe
must have been a false alarm or they took the plane back over or some shit...Got Cam Models?

i don't get it either it would only make sense that the pilots carry weapons and that the cockpit be locked from the time anyone steps on the plane and not be able to be opened from the outside of the cockpit, especially in this post 9/11 world. in the US a lot of commercial pilots were air force pilots so why not give them a weapon to defend themselves.
thank god for the US air marshalls...Got Cam Models?

They should design the planes so there are no entrance to the cockpit, only outside doorOriginally posted by PureMedsthey should allow pilots weapons in the cockpit. Flight Instructors carry them, why not them.

who says that? Greek and Italian news agencies reported it was a turkish one from the beginning. I can tell you what happened with BBC reporting. They find out about the hijacking but didnt know if it was a greek, a turkish or an albanian plane. They picked greek and wasn't random choice.Originally posted by sarah_webincWhat does it have to do with the British media when no other agencies have any other info?Comment

thats part #1 of smokey's " taake back theplanes" approach to securing our airlinesOriginally posted by Dirty DaneThey should design the planes so there are no entrance to the cockpit, only outside door
#1 no door between cockpit.
#2 no contact between pilot and crew
#3 no carry on baggage
If theres no door nobody can fly the plane but the pilot, thus nobody can crash it..
The crew doesnt need to contact the pilot for anything , if therers no way for a pilot to know his plane has been hijacked then he will just carry on his way regardless. in an emergency the crew can hit a button to make an emergency landing , and the pilot is notified to land at the nearest airport
The only reason why people even carryon shit is because it gets stolen if its down below. so hire honest baggage handlers , keep them on video , dont waste our time with airport security checkpoints , put the metal detectors out in the airport main lobby for anyone to check themselves before they get on the plane, make a rule , there one final detector at the entrance to the plane, if you have forgoton something on your person , your banned from flying , no exceptions.. everyone gets ample op to check themselves beforehand
And even better this would cost almost nothing, might even save a few buckshatisblack at yahoo.comComment

Good idea. They would have to put a restroom in the cockpit though tooOriginally posted by Dirty DaneThey should design the planes so there are no entrance to the cockpit, only outside door

no to be honest it may have been *me* that said Greek. They probably said Greek airspace. Of all the countries the UK really does have gruges against (French, etc) the Greek thing isn't that big.Originally posted by Soul_Rebelwho says that?
