How is an average growth per month (talking about unique daily visitors) -
i assume this is for a free site right (tgp/mgp)? You can see a bookmark rate in the range of 0.03% to 1.5%. Depends on the traffic source, layout and if you trade with other sites or not. If you don't trade,your bookmark rate will be superior, same with the quality of your traffic. Imagine trading of traffic as a battle between your site and your trades on who has the best site. The best will win the most bookmarkers, make no mistake about it.Comment

you can check xbiz.com directory for a good # of scripts. You didn't specify what type of scripts you are interested in, so I'll break-them down.
SmartThumbs and ComusThumbs are both good scripts to run a thumb TGP/MGP. My company is about to release another very good script under the name VistaThumbs at a more competitive price, but currently I don't have a working example. (pretty soon though i will)
Trading Scripts: TM3 (http://www.tgpsoftware.com/) is a good trading script, same goes with RB4 (http://www.scriptkeeper.net/scp/rb4/)

CPM programs in the adult industry won't make you any real money. There's isn't any close to decent cpm program at this moment and more likely never existed. Avoid ppc programs as well unless they are search egines. Revshare and PPS are the ones that will max. your earnings. Honestly don't waste your time and traffic with any other.Comment

Do you find that most sign ups come from people actively searching for good content they like or are most sign ups an impulse buy based on the hotness of the sales material (model, sex, quality, idea)?
Basically should I use what I consider the best of breed paysites and push them or should I always look for the new models, new content, next big thing and push that?
Maybe there isn?t that much difference, but since I started putting a site together I find that I?m over whelmed with choices. Do I use a hard sales pitch like ?This site is the sexiest? most hardcore? bla bla click here now? or do I use a softer pitch basically presenting paysite banners and text links along with my site?
My solution is to put myself in the surfers chair and try to figure out his mind set. So are most surfers willing to pay for high quality, or do they need that one off /something different content or is this all a marketing game and hot sales material is the end all be all.
If this specific question doesn?t make any sense I would appreciate just your general sales technique. And ideas.

Question about traffic management
The idea is to get as much traffic as possible and convert it to sales. Do you consider any link not leading to a sales page / sign up page a traffic leak. Would it be better to not trade traffic/ link exchange and just purchase traffic. The time saved can be used to refine the conversation rate of your pages.
Are sign ups so hard to come by that buying traffic should only be used to feed a sites trading / link exchanging productivity. But if the surfer doesn?t sign up at your trade partners site what makes you think they will sign up from your site. For that matter, these traffic sellers are pushing the same or similar sponsors as me, same question applies.
Are there traffic sellers with quality traffic that hasn?t been through the gauntlet? Are traffic trades only good for gaining search engine exposure?

when you purchase traffic you tweak your site to maximize your productivity while keeping bookmarkers rate it an acceptable level. It all depends how well you do your numbers. A friend of mine created an approx 1.8 mil uniques/day traffic network without spending any money in traffic aside some feeding traffic he had from other projects. Took him about 8 months, it can be done, but it's not that simple. Preparation of this network was an additional 6 months of work. Obviously when you have your own scripts and experience things are easier. So back to your question.....try your site to overperform any sites you are trading with. I can tell you at this point competition is high enough you need to combine almost all of those to achive satisfying results. Potential members primarily get impressed with a model, but before joining they consider the value of your site based on the price you ask.

It's all of the above actually. Some are very demanding, others less demanding, some are willing to spend money for a monthly fee, other's they won't and they only chance you can get from them some extra bucks is through agressive practises and so on. There's no univeral surfer's profile; also it's important to have in mind the traffic source plays significant role. A free passwords promo page can work well on SE traffic,but it's destiny is to fail in tgp/mgp. When you target tgp/mgp surfers you need to offer them something different, of good quality at least and justify them the money you ask them to pay. Branding of a site is also important, that takes a lot of time and exposure.
