I remember lurking many other forums before I began lurking GFY in 2001. That was precisely why many of the earlier pre-GFY sites failed to gain traction. Too much ass kissing supposedly or too much "im an insider, you're an insider, we rule!" type of threads/forums. The rest were business only / resources forums which didn't get much traffic. GFY changed all that with it's in your face theme.

Well, he told me he did not change his sig, and I never paid attention to it, so really don't know myself.

I remember meeting Franck at the 2003 Internext. We were at the OneVerify Italian dinner at the Venetian and he gets seated at the same table across from me and my girlfriend. At the time I mostly posted on awi and didn't know too many on gfy. He tells me he's Battuss on gfy and waits for a reaction. It didn't ring a bell then, but needless to say I went home and quickly learned who he was. Say what you want about him good or bad, he's certainly entertaining.
