    New GFY: Problems or Suggestions - post 'em here

    On the surface, the new GFY is almost the same. But as you can now tell, there are a lot of subtle differences and additions.

    So, is anything fucked up or are there any suggestions to make it better. There are a few more things we're working on, but the best ideas come from everyone (I just steal the credit).

                          I use netscape with java script turned off, I have never ever ssen a banner here ... except within the signatures ...

                          ... but what I don´t like about the new board is all those useless polls .. they are kinda .. ah, you know ...

                                  On the topics page:

                                  Before only the topic was underlined, now the topic is underlined, along with the "topic starter" name, and "replies" number.

                                  clean it up and dont have so much stuff underlined. I realize the underline means its "clickable" but to see soo much stuff underlined makes it look less neat, and a bit sloppy.

                                  Make the shit still clickable, but dont have it underlined. Only the topic should be underlined. This would clean it up and make the board less of an eye sore, and clean like it was before.

                                  Also there are two colors going on in the text. A link color, and a already been visited color. It looked better when it was just one white color, not the white and blue.


                                  Also the signatures. It seems they are more of an eye sore than before also. It may be becasue as of late people are making bigger banners, but we had that shit going on before and it was controlable. The signatures are out of control, and making threads look just plain sloppy. By default the "add signaure box" is checked now. So everyone, every time (by default) a signature is added to thier every post, every reply. Before if someone wanted a signature added to their post they would have to go out of thier way to check the box to do so, which reduced that annoying signature to be posted on every one of his or hers post.

                                  The functions of the board are great. The speed is bad ass, and the bonus functions are awsome! We just need to make some minor adjustments to "clean" it up a bit. Too much visual stimulation, and what was once very nice and neat, has become multiple colored underline text overload, and saturation of signatures.

                                  And Thats the bottom line casue boneprone said so.

                                                  yeah i mentioned that earlier. The post table seems to be smaller, yet the screen it slef seems larger.

                                                  I have a right left tool bar at the bottom of my screen now (unlike before)

                                                  GFY is in a box now.

                                                  Its too wide, yet the box table of topics seems smaller.

                                                  Maybe the sponsors table is too wide, and the topics table is too small?

                                                                                                                                  On the side scrolling at 800x600 thing, that's because we've got a hard-coded black box on the right to balance Mrs. GFY on the left. It's always been there, especially on the old GFY.
