After reading this board for a little bit, I've come to the following conclusion with my own, made-up stats:
50% of threads are started by ICQ conversations, such as:
2% are actually business related.* ICQ channel GFY dickheads *
GFY dickhead 01: Hey, let's start a thread about blah blah blah.
GFY dickhead 02: Ok.
GFY dickhead 03: I'm in too.
GFY dichkead 04: I want to play the blah blah blah in that thread.
GFY dickhead 02: Good call. GFY dickhead 04 will be target of our blah blah blah thread.
20% are threads used to pimp a program that's like any other program out there, usually started with "Would you hit it?".
20% are "Would you hit it threads" not related to a program.
8% are stickies.
