    How the hell do you cover up a weed leaf tattoo?

    The stupidest thing I ever done was probably when I got my giant buddha leaf on my upper right arm.

    I really want to get it covered up, so I went to InkaDinkaDoo (top class tattoo shop here in pittsburgh) , they said they really couldnt see what they could cover it up with

    I was thinking a pin up, but that wont even fucking fit.

    Any ideas on what I can get it covered up with?

    Dont even say a fucking penis or anything smart like that

                                                                                  Fair enough. Tattoos are very personal and should symbolize what one "is all about". The dragon tattoo pretty much summed me up back in college. Now that I'm older, I'd probably pick something else. Anyway, I kinda view my tattoo as a 'wearable time capsule'

                                                                                                                  I think your approaching it all wrong. Don't go to the tat shop and say "I got this and I want it covered up" Then everybody starts thinking "hummm' What could cover that up"

                                                                                                                  Instead, just come up with what ever you want for you next few piece's and then , take those ideas into the shop , either pre-sketched or a picture , or whatever. Then let the artist tell you "we could use this one to cover that up" or - "I could do something like that to totally hide that leaf"
                                                                                                                  Point is, give the artist something to work with. That way they feel like they can make it their own. Most artist's HATE going over someone's work, But they like having "cover-ups" in their portfolio (makes them feel better than the first guy)

                                                                                                                  It's not about what could cover this up.
                                                                                                                  Question is, what do YOU want for your next piece ?

                                                                                                                                                                          Doing a good cover up is a skill, not everyone can do it well. Someone can be great at tattooing but not be that talented at dong coverups.

                                                                                                                                                                          It's hard to say w/o seeing it, but the main thing to keep in mind is whatever you cover it with the design has to actually cover where the ink is on your current tattoo. To cover a pot leaf with a pin up girl is probably pretty impossible, Pin up tattoos are mostly open skin, there's nothing to cover, you would see the pot leaf right through her.

                                                                                                                                                                          Post a pic and I can make some suggestions, but in the end it will be left up to the skill of the artist who does it. When you walk into a shop ask to see some examples of cover ups they've done will give you a good idea of what they can do. A good cover-up artist will find a way to work it into a new design, a lazy one will cover it with an 8ball or soemthing almost straight black.
