What a shame. No, you don't get it at all.

It's difficult to put into words, but I'll attempt to define "it" as the feeling that comes over you as you prop your feet up while over looking the beach with a shot of tequila in your hand and suddenly all of the stress and pressure from daily life leaves your body and you look out over the ocean you are stunned by how complicated life really yet you discover how simple the problems in your pathetic little world truly are and then "it" hits you: Your going to do nothing for the next four days but relax.

That "it" and that's all.

Nah, Roberto seems more like a pitcer than catcher to me...

Does that mean I get "it"?

I figured "wiped" or somesuch, and Andre sort of confirmed (so he got that "it" wrong as well), which we pretty much all got, but I knew the feeling as I described "smashing the white man's clock" when we went to breakfast - the feeling that the world turns at the time you want it to, no one else matters at all.

Before going, my boss Ben at LionDollars asked what I expected to achieve business-wise at YP.

My reply?

Not much at all actually, consider this one annual leave mate, I'm getting absolutely trolloped for 4 days and could not give a rats arse.

;-)

So I get "it" on that level.

On many others I expect as well.

But being a TLA sort of guy, with a yearning thirst for useless trivia, I found myself seeing if there actually was a deeper (or shallower) meaning.

But now I believe I understand, and TRULY get "it" - it means whatever the fuck you want it to mean why you do whatever the fuck you want to do with an awesome group of people for 4 days.

I think that stuck when I realized ****I**** felt like the techno-nerd because I seemed to be the ONLY one lugging a laptop into base camp on Day Numero Uno.

So as I lean back typing this, looking at the Mexican national flag hanging proudly on my wall, fondling Jorge's spotted jungle panther claw around my neck, wondering if the therapy for the chicken will actually work (and not really caring) and recalling the 4 hours sleep in 4 days, and that I introduced to "older-timers" to their first experiences with individually different types of illicit substances, and had them thank me for it, for the shared experience and their level of comfort in my company was the issue, and smiling at the old friendships cemented and the new ones forged with an incredible group of people, I think at last I smile and nod and understand WYPD for what it is.

Thanks Bob, for knowing I WOULD get "it" even if I had already and did not already know it.

And thanks to EVERYONE who also gets it for sharing that experience with me.

NOW I also get why my head as been spinning and the enormity of it all.

I love you guys.
