Go to La Oveja Negra and Bosque de las Hadas -- Both off Las Ramblas (at least when I lived there) -- Be careful (I kinda got mugged when I lived there too)
Edit: But it's a beautiful city! Go to the Passeig de Gracia, the street, it's awesome...3-4 days isn't enough, you'll want to go back :-)Comment

have been there the last autumn - I hired some appartment right in teh centre for 90euros per night I think.
Don't forget to visit the "estruch" cafe and the market on La Rambla - Barcelona is a nice city - I loved thatComment
