I saw that movie in the theater in Manhattan during the week a matinee. Me and a bunch of old people. I can assume they were jewish because people were wailing during the movie. Which made even more intense, it was the saddest I ever left a theatre.Comment

Oh man.....if you DON'T break down in tears or just get really really insanely depressed after this movie....you are not human
I especially get all choked up during the part with the little girl in the red coat hiding....I don't know why but it always makes me get really emotional
and the part when they Jews get on the train and that really wonderful young girl is shouting "goodbye Jews...goodbye Jews"

The first time I saw it I thought I would never want to see it again because it drained me so much. I have seen it a couple times since but that first time was intense. I was still in my teens and was alone in the house and it just freaked me out.Comment

The book called "Night" is a much more somber look at the concentration camps too..
and scarred me far worse than Schindler's List...
But it's a great movie too...

That movie is such a bummer but it's so important to realize what horrible things people can do to each other.
Movies like this are so important because after all of the Holocaust survivors die (a.k.a. very very soon) this is all we'll be left with-media, videos, museums and books.
It troubles me so much when young people don't know who Anne Frank was or don't seem to realize that the holocaust wasn't so long ago.
These movies make it real for a few hours for us, so at least we can have some idea (albeit very small) of what horrors these people went through in their fight for survival in a Nazi death camp.
I don't like watching these movies but I feel as though we have somewhat of a responsibility to acknowledge the past and what happened through such means.....SexandCash

I watched it last night as well.
It made my stomach turn to see people with such cruel disregard for human life. I do think it's a must see for everyone so they will begin to have an understanding of such a horrible time in history.
In the end they had some of the actual surviving Schindler's Jews walk over to his grave stone and place a rock on it along with the character that played them in the movie. I thought that was a really nice touch.Comment

It is an amazing movie and to have so many of the Jews who were in the camps approve of it, tells you that they were damn well on with what they said in the movie.

So I had never seen that movie right,
then one night I was jilted off some weed and painkillers it came on and I was absolutely fucking mesmerized and locked in with that opening scene with Liam Neeson getting pimped out in all.
But jesus it was a great movie, I know it sounds terrible but I enjoyed every minute of it. Not the killing jews part, just the attention to detail.. very layered.
